All praises and glory belong to the Lord for the successful Missions Summit held last March 23 here in Baguio. There were more than 200 attendees with 31 churches represented and 7 mission organizations who participated as speakers. Let us pray that those who attended this event will have a burden for the “Couslims” ( Mus…. cousins) and help us reach them with the Gospel….
The “palapa” team cooked 71 tubs of this delicious Maranao chilli appetizer we sold at the Missions Summit. This is one of their livelihood projects. It is encouraging to see them united. Also, when their kids are sick they ask for prayer. Let us pray that they will not only enjoy the “togetherness” as MSO members but will eventually believe and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. Pray also for their small business of selling clothes at the night market. They take turns using the money we get from their livelihood projects. So, I collect the money every 26th day of the month and distribute it to the next group. This is a big help to them for their interest.
The Children of Peace (CoP’s) are doing good in their studies. Most of them have good grades at school. There is a need for mentors because some of the volunteer mentors are graduating from universities and will look for jobs.
The monthly fellowship of the women in our organization is a source of encouragement especially for the younger ones. The lives and example of the older women, their faithfulness and presence in our meetings bless us younger ones. We have a lot to learn from them. Pray that these meetings will empower the women to have a passion for missions. We just had a Youth Retreat ( March 27-29) and there were 41 attendees and 11 facilitators including me. These young people need love, guidance and the word of God as they face different life challenges
Mom is turning 93 years old this coming May 26. Join us in praying for God’s favour in her advanced age especially her mental health and my brother Linto who lives with her.
Pray for the MSO fellowship this April 13 that all of the 18 members will join. This is a good time to share the Word with them. This is also a time for some of them to open up by sharing their struggles and prayer requests.
The feeding at Barangay Ferdinand will resume after Ramadan
Thankful that the Balangao OT translation is going on with the faithful workers ( This is my people group’s mother tongue).
Update for my health; a sister from our church paid the one-month stem cell package for me. I switched from taking herbal medicines to stem cell therapy and I feel much better. It is all cheaper for the clinic owner to give me a discount – she said a “missionary” price. She attended our church when she was studying in college. Ultimately, God is our healer.
Thank you for your prayers and partnership. God bless us all.
